Pink, Gray and Cheeseburgers

I takes me a little time to get the mojo for a challenge.  The May 28th OWH mid week challenge was a pink and gray card.  Here's my results:

Minnie Mouse is really closer in  color to the ribbon in real life.  She looks a little "grayed" out in the scan.   The June 4th challenge is cheesburgers or BBQ.  Since I already have this digi from Doodle Pantry and it's an OWH fundraiser digi, I had to use it for the challenge:

Hope you enjoy my challenge entries.

One Sheet Wonder and the Silhouette

I had been using a one sheet wonder pattern that was created by Seongsook Duncan.  She makes wonderful cards for Operation Write Home.  The one sheet wonder (OSW) is a template for cutting a 12X12 piece of double sided designer paper to minimize scraps. I decided I wanted to adjust the dimensions just a little so I came up with this:

I decided that this might be easier to cut on the Silhouette.  I made a cut file of the template and it worked great!  I was able to use every scrap of the sheet of paper.

Here's the results:

The paper is a collection from Crate Paper called Restoration Collection.  I found it a Tuesday Morning.  It had 16 sheets of double sided designer paper, borders, stickers and die cuts.  I used various stamps for the sentiments.  These will all find their way to Operation Write Home.

Thanks to Our Daily Bread Designs for their monthly challenges.

World Card Making Day OWH Blog Hop

I'm so glad to be participating in the World Card Making Day Operation Write Home Blog Hop.  Wow!  Is that a mouthful!  The challenge for this hop is to make a Thank You card using any of the Operation Write Home sketches.  There are so many that it is hard to choose one.  I usually pick some paper or an image and let it speak to me.  I knew I wanted to use one of the images I had colored with my copic markers.  Copics are something new for me.  I finally settled on sketch number 126.

The image I used is from My Favorite Things, called Indian Girl.  I think she's so sweet and makes me feel thankful this time of year.  The paper is from Crate Paper and the ribbon is grosgrain from my stash.   Hope you like the results.

Thanks for stopping by.  Hope you enjoy the blog hop today.  There are lots more blogs to visit.  Leave me a comment and tell me what you think.  And now you can return to WCMDOWH by clicking HERE.
